Business and commerce has got a bad name, due to consumerism (and probably a whole host of other reasons), but trade is inherently an intimate relationship. It requires trusting one another, depending on one another, and results in mutual benefit and gain. This is why we thank others for their services, even when we’re compensating them for it. When we trade with others, everyone wins. Commerce is close to love.
